Laxgalts’ap St. Andrew’s Church
The Lax̱g̱alts’ap St. Andrew’s Church is the last facility in the community of Lax̱g̱alts’ap that was built by Sayt-Hahlal̓s (Public Works) – the concept of the community members volunteering working together in unity with a common goal.
Each day, families of the community would host a day to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner to the Carpenters, labourers and helpers who were constructing the Church. The Church officially opened in 1992 and is the largest in the Nass Valley and in the northwest of British Columbia.
