The Economic Development Department’s goal is a strong, diverse economy for the Lax̱g̱altsʼap community. The department works closely with local businesses, industry partners, and government agencies to attract investments, create jobs, and support community development initiatives.

- Creating and implementing economic development plans and strategies
- Pursuing funding opportunities that benefit the economy of Lax̱g̱altsʼap
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify economic trends and opportunities
- Supporting infrastructure projects that enhance economic growth

- Providing support and resources to entrepreneurs and small business owners
- Organizing and participating in community events, workshops, and seminars related to economic development
At the forefront of our economic initiatives is Boney Creek Development, Ltd, an economic development arm of the Lax̱g̱altsʼap Village Government. Boney Creek Development works to promote local, regional, and national opportunities that will attract and retain investment, create employment, and diversify the economy through strong industry partnerships.
